Snickerdoodle Apple Pie

Inspired by some delicious snickerdoodle cookies that a good friend made for us last fall, Josh decided to make an apple pie this weekend. But not just any pie, a snickerdoodle apple pie. It turned out delicious, and I can’t tell you how much I love being married to a man that can cook AND bake!

Since Josh made the pie, I’ll link you to the two recipes he merged to make the pie:

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Cream Cheese Snickerdoodles

Josh left the skins on his apples. I think this can go both ways. Leaving the skins on the apples gave the pie a nice crunchy texture, so it all depends on which you prefer.

Josh adding the Lattice.

It turned out simply amazing. Pie, like bread, is another one of life’s cooking mysteries to me. Kudos, dear husband.
